EVENTFUL WEEKEND IS EVENTFUL.

Holy crap.

So,music_est_vita  was up this weekend from Toronto, Hallowed Place of the Working/Existent Transit System, and it was a fucking blast. The original plan was to do aimless things, such as hole up in my room and ogle Johnny Weir and Stephane Lambiel ("NICE THONG, JOHNNY!") while making fun of everyone's favourite heterosexual orange mongoose bro, Evan Lysacek. Needless to say, we deviated from this plan by... rather a lot.

OH MY HOLY INTERNET ON A HATSTAND THAT GAME WAS FUCKING GLORIOUS, Y/Y/Y/Y/Y/Y/Y/Y? (This post was going to take place a lot earlier but I just got back to Kingston an hour ago, so.)

I actually missed parts of it because it was too intense for me to handle I was helping with dinner BUT OH MY FREAKING GOD. Did anyone else almost shit their pants when the US scored with less than thirty seconds left in the game holy crap?! When I heard they were going into overtime, I almost had a heart attack, ngl.

But it was a really well-played game, from both sides. AND THEN CROSBY, HOLY SHIT. ♥ Even my dad started cheering and jumping up and down when that shot went in. And if you know my dad, you'd know how darn surreal that was. My mom and I were off to the side, having our own little fits of hysterics.

;A;LSDKFJA;SLDFKJA;HTERNG;DJ I STILL CAN'T BELIEVE IT. And just. The players were so happy when the flags were raised, and everyone was hugging and celebrating (in fact, we almost couldn't get to our bus because bits of Front St. were cordoned off) and seriously pure awesome.

And a fucking Gold Medal record, hellz to the yesplz!

It occurs to me that if I tried to post on Twitter like I do on LJ, someone would come along and bash my head in with a keyboard. Deep, meaningful posts just don't translate as well... /sarcasm

Anyway, I survived my first full day of work. Go me. I'll probably regret not posting about it in more detail when I'm like ninety, but I'd rather post about HOW AWESOME THE NU!TREK FANDOM IS. BECAUSE IT'S AWESOME. ontd_startrek IS MY LIFE (AND IS NOT-SO-SUBTLEY EATING MY FLIST).

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAHH ASHLEY WHY ARE YOU EMAILING ME AGH. I knew I shoud've checked that account earlier. Whooooops. But it's mostly ok, cause if work ends at five, i don't really thinkg I'll be able to make it to practice anyway. BUT OK. Unexpected remembrance is unexpected.  I do kind of miss everyone, though.

Back to Star Trek: AL;KDJF;ALERNASIFFA; WHAT A SHOW. Watched some TOS with jjdark and co. WAS IMPRESSED BY THE ACTION SEQUENCES. Because, I mean, you can totally tell, but they just look like they're having so much fun  and I really want to join in with the punching and kicking and rolling around dramatically on the floor. Also? Spock's eye make-up is OMG TOTALLY FABULOUS!!!1ONE and many a great LOL was had because omg so camp!

Obviously, there are the gender/racial issues that the show has as a result of the time it was prduced, but it's such a refreshing breath of air after, well, lots f things, so overall, I don't complain.

AND BY THE WAY: HBP TIX FOR THE MIDNIGHT SHOWING, 12:01 AM ON THE 15TH HOLY CRAP I AM SOOOOO EXCITED.

Basically, so much GLEEEE~~~

Jeez, I feel old. In two years, I'll be twenty. That's old. (I'm making this face right now, O.O, can you tell?)
Anyway, I received some lovely gifts today, including but not limited to:
