Our rugby Quarter-finals took place today at Sunnybrook Park.

We played Birchmount.

We played phenomenally.

We fucking lost.

Cut for angst. It comes in buckets. )

Well, fuck that.

We lost.
Come forth, Lazarus. And he came fifth and lost the job )

But. I would give that goal back if it meant we had won the game.

WHAT.

WHAT.

WHO BEAT NEWTONBROOK? YEAH. YEAH THAT'S RIGHT. WE DID. OH SNAP.

EMPLOYMENT, FUCK YEAH!

Missing every french and latin class for the rest of May... not so awesome. BUT I MEAN C'MON IT'S FOR RUGBY. If we don't make it to the finals, I will shit bricks. But tomorrow we play Newtonbrook, and they're an OFSAA level team, and crikey, if we lose, Ashley's gonna kill us all. Well, also maybe Tait and Ms. Vujacic. But mostly Ashley. Aaaaaahh~ (If I can't get out of French to go to the game, I will not be pleased.)

Today, though, was the most chill rugby practice ever. We stood around for an hour asking Ashley questions.

And on the weekend: X-MEN ORIGINS: HUGH JACKMAN WOLVERINE! (IDEK IF THAT'S ITS PROPER NAME BUT IT SHALL BE EPIC!)

Wotcher, all!

ALKEJ;A CLASSICS WAS AS AWESOME AS A CONGREGATION OF 450 CLASSICS NERDS SHOULD BE. There is a wicked vid on my computer now of Messrs. S and L rowing a rubber dingy through the pool at Brock University. THEY TOTALLY WON, BTW. Except I saw Mr. L shirtless and was all DO NOT WANT.
SED FLOCCI NON FACIMUS )

AND THEN I GOT BACK AND WE HAD A RUGBY GAME TODAY AGAINST WILLIAM LYON MACKENZIE'S TIER I TEAM. We played craptastically. But beat them anyway, 15-0. (While I was at Classics, we played Westin and creamed them 44-0.)

RUUUUUG-BYYYYYY )

EUGE! I AM NOT DEAD!

We survived our exhibition games against North Toronto and Leaside. Well, I mean, we lost both games. BUT ALL OUR PLAYERS ARE ALIVE AND INTACT. And we only lost to North Toronto by 12 points. Or possibly seven; something like that. Considering this is our first year in Tier I (and only our second year as a team), and that we were up against a team whose star player plays for the Ontario Rugby League, I don't think we did too badly.
highlights this way~~~ )

I need a MANLY icon for rugby posts. Dean is good, but ...
...
...
... *looks at icon* No, yeah, he's pretty much got it down pat.

Today was good! It made me happy. (And ran off with my syntax, so I now sound like a five year old).

tl;dr: yayz school/life )

THINGS I AM GOING TO GROW THE BALLS TO DO TOMORROW:
tl;dr: I too have the right to make a fool of myself in front of an auditorium of strangers )

Days til Classics: too many to count *le sigh*

Days til FRANCE!!: 9 (HOLY LE SHIT.)

Days til WATCHMEN: 2 (MOTHERFUCKING HELL YEAH! RORSCHACH! DAN! EVERYBODY!)

AHAHAHA and then we went to our coach's place to go hot tubbing and get towels.

AHAHAHA ILU TERRY PRATCHETT!

Ok, done stating the obvious, so. Today: wake up, panic, attempt to study, write bio exam. Finish exam, eat lunch, suppress nervous breakdown, study latin. Get Elton John's Daniel stuck in my head on repeat. Study math.

Go to rugby practice. It was... short. One hour long. But rather grueling, considering. A. actually coaches us, I think, and Some Random Guy (who looks rather like a 'Paul') is just the supervisor. SRG is actually A.'s coach (the senior train right after us), but he looks in on our sessions (according to G.). Anyway, he's scary and forward and he swears a lot. Also, whenever someone drops the ball and doesn't immediately dive onto it, he makes us do sprints. Anal, A. calls him. Mental would be a better term, I think. But it was actually pretty cool, and I don't really have any qualms about going next week. (It's gonna be a bitch in the summer, though, with gr 12 english and then rugby, not to mention if I actually get off my ass and apply for a job. But that's another topic, for another time.)

Speaking of next week, I GET TO SEE MY COUSINS ON TUESDAY, OMGYAY! And my brother's coming with me because I am an Awesome Older Sister and have managed to convince the parents that honestly, grade 7&8 are a waste of life, and that it would benefit my brother immensely to skip a day of school and teach twin two-year olds to give Hi-fives and Be Cool. They'll be the coolest kids on the block.

And now: sleep
OKAY.  I have about seven projects due tomorrow (not even kidding), and four of them are culminating activities. It's kind of stressful. BUT. That doesn't even matter AT ALL.

Why, you may ask.
So, not to brag or anything...
but our rugby team played Lawrence Park today (they've had a Tier I team for I think 6 years now? I'm not sure, something like that). Well, we played their Tier II team  because we're rookies and shit. WE BEAT THEM 60 - 0 according to M. on the sidelines. Holy crap, guys. I didn't even know it was possible to win by that much. SIXTY. Against a team that purportedly trains with their Tier I counterpart.

I am impressed! And also joyful because this time, I actually got to play for three-quarters of the game instead of T. keeping me on the sidelines. (I mean, I see her point and all, cause I'm not the strongest player, but how will I get better if I don't get to practice against real opponents?) Anyway, yes, happy :-)

AND it's a late start tomorrow, which means I'm sleeping in. And eating PB&bananas for breakfast. On toast. Because I like toast.
Absolutely screwed for a) the music presentation, b) the chem lab/graph/homework that I missed, and c) Music Night which is in eight days and WE HAVEN'T EVEN PICKED A SONG YET.

But. We won our rugby game. In which I got to play. 60 -0. Fuck, yeah I'll take that.
in my heart, i comment on other people's entries, like on my flist and stuff. because there, i don't look like an  antisocial idiot when i type something.

NYC on Wednesday! I still have to talk to everyone and pack and find my passport, but OKAY I AM EXCITED!!

PS:  Bon Cop, Bad Cop (i think that's what it's called?) AWESOME MOVIE, BTW. Go and see it.
YAYZ RUGBY TEAM!!

not so yayz my gullibility (huh, apparently that's a word...). A is not coming to Canada, god damn April Fool's. Fuckin' hell and I was all excited too and you should've seen N.

oh well. Fetal pig dissection on Friday along with math test/quiz of DEATH and Epic French Test of DOOM.

Two english evaluations tomorrow as well as a music playing test, rugby practice and an archery test. Yippeee. But movies on Saturday and possibly Sunday, yay for attempting to resuscitate my semblance of a social life. And I get to read the Handmaid's Tale and draw Deep, Intelligent and Thoughtful Conclusions from it. Gnnnah.

I should be studying.

Procrastination, thy name is Sarah.

HOLY FUCK, LIFE. WAY TO PULL A FAST ONE ON ME. TURN MY BACK FOR ONE FREAKING SECOND AND WHAT? A COMING TO CANADA ON MY BIRTHDAY.

JESUS H. CHRIST.

INCOHERENTLY HAPPY, BUT SURPRISED.

IF IT'S AN APRIL FOOLS JOKE, I WILL SMACK SOMETHING.

BUT IF IT'S NOT.

OMG.

ooh, hey, also, we get to dissect a fetal pig on Friday! Go biology! M. wanted to bring chopsticks and reenact Lord of the Flies. I said no, but only because that will lose us marks.

And, tomorrow will either be a very, very, very bad day or an awesometastic day full of awesomeness. Rugby final cuts were made tonight; the list will be up by tomorrow morning.

SRSLY THE NEWS. I AM GOBSMACKED.
