Contradictio in Terminis

Well, I'm back in Kingston. Pleasantly surprised to find that the apartment is a) still standing, and b) relatively clean. Right now I'm just taking a minute to be slightly overwhelmed by the amount of work I've neglected over reading week: not merely readings, but also a lab report (I think I need to scrap what I have so far and start over again, because things are looking wonky, arrgh), a German assignment, and the part where I have until Friday to make a decision about going on exchange.

Thankfully, with the power of To-Do lists, I have Plans, which will hopefully allow me to take the stick out of my ass so I can pretend to be Normal. Also, coffee. There is nothing that cannot be conquered by the addition of More Caffeine. 

The weekend was totally worth the imminent stress, though. On Saturday, I slept in (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was glorious~), baked banana bread and hung out with Eden before having dinner with the grandparents. Later, Chloe came over and we skyped cherishedsaulie  and watched the vlogbrothers until two in the morning. I HAVE BEEN CONVERTED. Extremely belated though I am, ;alskdjf;asd I have oodles of love for them now. Today, we had the relatives over for Oma's birthday lunch. I do not think my waistline was helped by the entire table of chicken rice/chow mein/salmon OMG I devoured, but I'm reminding myself that university fare starts again on Monday, so it's completely justified.

OH AND BY THE WAY, WHITE COLLAR EP 2.14 IS THE MOST AMAZING THING EVER OH MY GOD IT IS LIKE FIC ON TELEVISION.

Ok, done stating the obvious, so. Today: wake up, panic, attempt to study, write bio exam. Finish exam, eat lunch, suppress nervous breakdown, study latin. Get Elton John's Daniel stuck in my head on repeat. Study math.

Go to rugby practice. It was... short. One hour long. But rather grueling, considering. A. actually coaches us, I think, and Some Random Guy (who looks rather like a 'Paul') is just the supervisor. SRG is actually A.'s coach (the senior train right after us), but he looks in on our sessions (according to G.). Anyway, he's scary and forward and he swears a lot. Also, whenever someone drops the ball and doesn't immediately dive onto it, he makes us do sprints. Anal, A. calls him. Mental would be a better term, I think. But it was actually pretty cool, and I don't really have any qualms about going next week. (It's gonna be a bitch in the summer, though, with gr 12 english and then rugby, not to mention if I actually get off my ass and apply for a job. But that's another topic, for another time.)

Speaking of next week, I GET TO SEE MY COUSINS ON TUESDAY, OMGYAY! And my brother's coming with me because I am an Awesome Older Sister and have managed to convince the parents that honestly, grade 7&8 are a waste of life, and that it would benefit my brother immensely to skip a day of school and teach twin two-year olds to give Hi-fives and Be Cool. They'll be the coolest kids on the block.
