Those comms will be the death of me, I swear. I DO NOT WANT TO SEE THE SUBTEXT in this movie. What do I see? You guessed it. :-/ I want to like this moive, I really do. And I love it. But I want to be intrinsically satisfied with the ending, and if you're a slasher, you will never be satisfied with the ending of anything unless it's Brokeback Mountain or the HP DH thing with BIG GAY DUMBLEDORE. AtU has no big gay D-Dore, and so Jude hooks up with Lucy in the end. Which is fine. I love Jude and I adore Lucy, and they're undeniably cute together. Unfortunately, Max happens to be my favourite chracter, and arrrgh there is SUBTEXT between him and Jude. I want to be satisfied with this ending, but I see the subtext and by shipping Max/Jude I'm only setting myself up for more disappointment, because if it's not canon, I don't feel validated, and no matter what the subtext says, Max and Jude are not canon. Poopie. :-/
Havng said that, I would just like to say that no matter how much I like Jude/Lucy, and how much I wish I didn't ship Jude/Max, the backbenttulips comm has some unbelievably good fic. I know usually in the smaller fandoms, there's a lack of good fic, but lemme tell you, the people there sure do deliver. "Delivery is my middle name!" *coughShoeboxcough*
