You know how when you’re a kid and you look up and you dream of the good days to come, the ones where you’ll be able to live with your friends forever and bedtime won’t mean saying goodbye? You know how satisfying that knowledge was, knowing that one day, one day, you’d Be A Grownup and life would be one long sleepover full of awesome and sparkles, and no one would ever have to leave because the party would never end? Remember when being grown up meant never having to say goodbye?

 

It’s like all of those childhood dreams just coalesced into one and then exploded and died.
