a truing-up of accounts*

bitchy_merlinI keep meaning to post about specific topics or what I've been doing these last few days, but I'm always side-tracked either by HP fic (I'm on a serious binge right now, you guys. Unfortunately, most of what I mem'd in grade 7 is either deleted or crap) or by exchange obligations. (Also, I clearly haven't been on in a while, because I spent a couple minutes chuckling to myself at my icon. *facedesk*)
(YOU GUYS YOU GUYS I'M GOING ON EXCHANGE I CAN'T BELIEVE IT ;ALKSDF;AKSJDT;AKT;AT Yeah.) So here's a smattering of life since my childhood ended the weekend:

Alas, the botox didn't work like I expected it to... jk, I just got a haircut this evening. My hair is spiky! :D
Over the weekend, I did my first race - Dawn at the Don, 8k - with my mom and dad. Surprisingly, I actually a) made it over the finish line and b) finished in under 45 minutes. (Lol, but my dad finished in like half an hour and then had to stand around waiting for mom and I.) I read The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen vol1 while at a baseball game with my grandparents, and finished the evening off at Oma's, eating homemade piroshkis (I have no idea how to spell that word).
This week (well, ok, it's only been three days), work has been hectic. Our one-woman payroll department is leaving us on Thursday, and everyone is all aflutter trying to learn her job and do their own at the same time. For my part, I spent this morning doggedly invoice-hunting
and in the afternoon, I was sequestered away with more capital project invoices, truing up a humungous tracking spreadsheet. (And people wonder why I have never had the burning desire to be an accountant...)
I also finished rereading The Philosopher's Stone and basically died a thousand times inside. OMG ickle!Harry.
In other news, got my housing acceptance offer from Groningen today - this is a very tiny picture of where I'll be living:
It used to be a school before they turned it into a residence for international students. The rooms are shared, so here's hoping for an awesome roomie! *fingers crossed*
That's pretty much it for now; parents are away next week, so I'm planning to slog through the 50+ tabs of X-Men fic I have open and actually, you know, catch up with the important things in my life, aka fandom.
