So, today:
- 2 new books purchased (Book Theif and The Grand Tour) although the second one was purchased more for the cover page than fir sounding particularily exciting
- went to the McMicheal Art Gallery thing, and was thouroughly bored out of my mind for 2 hours (except for this one painting that I really liked) What the heck do you do in art galleries anyway? Stand around staring at the paintings, saying things like: "Oh, that has real meaning!" or "Oh, this is incredilble! See the constipated expression on that guy's face? That's deep" (THIS IS NOT MEANT TO INSULT ANYONE, I AM JUST TYPING MY THOUGHTS)
- went to the Bata Shoe Museum--LOVE!!! So many pairs of shoes!! All of them were so cool too, like the ones from the 18th century(?) and some oriental ones. There were shoes there that belonged to Elvis Presely, and Terry Fox's shoe, and Marilyn Monroe. Very cool. The best part, though, was the 3rd floor, where the Icons of Fashion shoes were located. That was AMAZING!!! They had DESIGNER SHOES! REAL LIFE DESIGNER SHOES. Some of the shoes were by MANOLO BLAHNIK, JIMMY CHOO, and CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN(sp ?) But OMHMYGOD they were amazing!! Did I mention that I have a shoe fetish? Well, yes, I do. ohmygoodness, MANOLO BLAHNIKS!!! This is very important to me, as this is probably the only time I will get so close to such amazing shoes. I will try to upload some pictures to my LJ to look at. WOW, best place EVER!
