It has been... a rather lengthly day.
I have no shortage of things to discuss.
Item 1: HAVEMERCY. I have it. I've read it. IT IS SIMPLY FANTASTIC. I cannot coherently describe my adoration of this book. It is touching and lovely and really, really amazing. <3 I hardly put the book down from start to finish, and even then only because I had rugby.
Item 2: Today, it was my brother's graduation. He's going into grade nine next year, and that makes me feel old I don't mind telling you. I mean, the kid still looks like he's eight. And he'll be in high school. And he'll have more of a social life than I do (not that that's a hard feat to accomplish, but strange nonetheless). It's just... weird. I feel... weird. Happy, of course, now that well, y'know, he's moving up in the world (if you can call being a niner "moving up"), but mostly... weird. I require time for introspection.
Item 2.5: Dude, I'm graduating next year. That's really fucking scary. However, I still have a shitload of courses etc. to slog through before that time arrives.
Item 3: My grandpa gave me his camera today, on account of him getting the newer version (it may display the image on the screen before you shoot, but its zoom is shit). Don't get me wrong, I love love love this camera (Olympus E-300 Evolt, not that I know anything about cameras), but it feels weird all the same, because I know intrinsically that it's his and I feel kind of like an imposter for using it. If that makes sense.
Item 4: There is a pamphlet about wheelchairs and assissted living on our kitchen table, which may very well soon apply to Grandma, and that is a thought that doesn't bear thinking about.
Item 5: ... actually, that's about it.
Havemercy - so good.
