HOLY SHIT, THAT WAS A MINDFUCK OF AN EPISODE. All I can do is sit here, making high-pitched keening noises because what the hell, show? Mood whiplash, much? Last ep was my favourite one yet: Neal saving Peter's life! Trusting! Justice>>>>Revenge! El getting screentime! (Alright, she got some this time, too, but it was pretty forgettable considering the events in the rest of the episode.)

So: Mood whiplash. Also: Excess of Plot. Watching this ep, things felt disjointed and barely related to the previous one (last time: going undercover, accounting, fancy espressos and poisoned drinks; this time: gunfights, footchases, burglaries, Alex). There was also a ridiculous amount of plot in this one. It felt as if the writers looked at the production schedule, realized they'd only got a couple more episodes before the finale, and promptly freaked the fuck out and tried to cram as much plot as possible into a singular ep.

Although, TBQH, I think I'm really only upset because Neal sneaking around behind Peter's back makes me D: and there was a LOT of that as went on in this episode. Neal's the one saying "No more secrets" in the last ep, and here he is, conning the FBI and going after Fowler with a gun. A gun. Christ, the look on Peter's face in that scene... There are permanent fault lines across my heart because of that. (Mostly because despite Neal's ridiculous aura of awesome, Peter is my favourite character on the show.)

But would that Neal's secrecy were the only thing making me DDD: from this ep. I could have dealt with that. But then the unthinkable happened! THEY SHOT MOZZIE!!!! DO NOT WANT! DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD-: ASHJHGLL;KGKU,JM

...Can it be next Tuesday Wednesday already?
