I am kind of on a Yu Yu Hakusho binge atm. I want to say it's horrified fascination, but really I'm just enjoying it. But were these episodes really this violent when I first saw them? People are breaking bones and losing teeth here, and punching is being portrayed as the most effective problem solving strategy in existence. And every other word that comes out of Yusuke's mouth is "damn" or "asshole". Seriously, this show was aired on a kids' channel in the states. Was it always like this?
Nonetheless, I am definitely entertained by this show. I rediscovered my favourite episode! It's ep 1x08, Hiei's Third Eye (k, I don't actually know how to spell his name...) AND OK. So, I had the biggest crush on Kurama when I was younger and now I'm having serious retrospect embarrassment issues because I don't really like his voice actor. Kuwabara's voice actor is kind of annoying too, cause it sounds like he's constantly talking around a handful of gravel, but. Just. Guys. I don't even know. I'm waiting for Kurama and Hiei to get more airtime, because they're awesome. Currently, Yusuke is fighting a duel to the death in order to become Genkai's (sp?!) apprentice.
And have I mentioned how much I love Kuwabara's character development? Cause I do. So exciting :D
In... terms of real life, econ assignments are back on track and driving me crazy. Also, my level of codependency is kind of terrifying sometimes. I should eventually go to fencing, seeing as I haven't been for two weeks. Key word here being "should". May or may not be followed by "will".
The good news is that HURRAH LUCILLE CALLED AND I AM WORKING YAY! Well, one shift, but still, I'm happy about it. And it's not for two weeks, so I have time toprocrastinate work on that pesky health media thing that's due sometime.
But yeah, life is pretty ok at the moment. And I think my next YYH ep has loaded, so I'm off to rediscover the joys of gratuitous swearing and violence of Yusuke Yurameshi, the great spirit detective!
