I am blessed because I have friends with whom I can and have had "One of those conversations that starts out of nothing and rambles all over the place, and catches hold of you somewhere deep in your chest and makes you laugh and makes you feel like crying, and goes on for hours and hours. And then, at the end of it, you feel so incredibly close to the other person, you don’t want to stop talking, even when you’ve thrashed out everything you wanted to say, so you just go on repeating things over and over again, just for the sound of his voice, just to keep that connection going between you. It was like that. We didn’t even do anything, we just talked and talked and talked, propped up on our elbows on the bed and facing each other, at first, until our elbows gave out. After that, we lay on our backs and stared up at the ceiling, although there was nothing to see because we had to put out the light when Mom came in and told us to go to sleep at eleven. Just the shadows on the walls from the streetlight outside. It’s really quiet, in this neighborhood, so in the little pauses where we weren’t saying anything, I could hear him breathing, which somehow more than made up for the fact that nobody was talking." Um, I don't know, there's no real reason for this entry other than that I was reading that fic and it just made me really thankful for the amazing people that I know, and I wanted to share.
