JUDE! MAX! LUCY! SADIE! JOJO! PRUDENCE! ANYONE I MISSED! LOVE! JOY! HAPPINESS! ROCK! THE BEATLES! FLAIL LEIK WOAH! COOL DANCING RABBI DUDE! INSANELY AWESOME!
Such a masterpiece. The movie is so heart-wrenching, I'm not going to summarize it, cause everyone reading this should go see it immediately! Then come back and rejoice.
And holy heck, what rejoicing! It was beautiful! Not to mention the wicked soundtrack. The Beatles officially own all. Ok, but let's go back to the characters now:
LASKHFA;KHD;FALSD;LASJ MAX!!!!!!! I LOVED MAX. He was brilliant and amazing and fucking awesome and Max! (PS: nothing, I tell you, nothing beats Joe Anderson in a bathrobe singing. <3)
And this movie also had impressive choreography, lemme tell you. The army recruitment scene? Brilliant. I applaud the choreographers, because HELL YES. Not to mention the very nice use of symbolism. Loverly.
One of my personal favourite parts was Strawberry Fields Forever, even though I usually don't go for angst, but guhh, everyone was so worried for Max and Jude was so in denial about caring and he was trying to not let it get to him that his best friend is fighting in a war halfway across the world, and then the strawberries and Max and Jude and Lucy watching and Max and Jude's angst and it was so good. So good.
Hell, I even liked Lucy in this movie, and Jude was omfg LOVE. GAAHHHH, HEY JUDE=MAX SINGING TO JUDE (!!!) = YESSS!!!!! And it was absolutely crushing when Jude got deported and Max got fucked up from the war and I was thisclose to crying for the longest time, and then THE SCENE with Max and Jude and HEY JUDE!!!! and Max sitting on the taxi and they hugged and I fucking cried because al;dkhf;ahf;aldjkf it was perfect and then Jude and Lucy had "All you need is Love" and gah, LOVE.
(Plus, uhm.. hott? yes. so hot. and they sang! *guhhhh* Not to mention Dana Fuchs. hot damn, that woman can sing.)
