Shit, man. I've been reading some PotC recs, and, hot damn they're good. I am honestly on a PotC kick right now, and I do actually now ship Jack/Will (Sexually Ambiguous Pirates are Love). I have to say, that in all honesty, it's a really great ship/fandom to read, and some of these recs kick ass, but those authors must be extremely gifted because I've tried to imagine any non-canonical scene, but it's just not working. I don't get it. In any other fandom, I could take some ideas and imagine a wonderful scene in my head (HP fandom, this is you!) but for PotC, I actually can't imagine anything. I think this is partly because I'm afraid I'll ruin the characters (which would totally screw up anything else I'd like to envision), and yet I've never been afraid of OOC-ness in the HP fandom (in my imagination, not fanfic, because if there is one thing I can't stand to see in fic, it's OOC-ness. At least in my mind, no one else is subject to the abomnation that is OOC-ness.)

I don't know, but what I do know is that: a) my mom is pissed as hell at me, and b) PotC fics are pretty damn addicting!
