I am very very glad this week is finally over! Really glad. My gladness cannot be textually expressed.
Today, I ate more junk food than I did in probably the last two weeks. I skipped the assembly to hang out with friends and eat ice cream, then I went to the Athletes' BBQ to hang out with the girls' rugby team of '08 and eat burgers and chips. Then there was music which involved two cakes, cookies and coconut bread. The cookies were quite good.
After school, me and SC (whom I haven't seen in ages) went to see Indiana Jones. Think: George Lucas and Steven Spielberg working on one movie. Yeah. It was... well, let's just say I'm glad I went more for the company than the entertainment.
As a rather belated birthday gift, she insisted on buying me Guards! Guards! from the Discworld series. It was greatly appreciated, obviously. And I discovered that Stephanie Meyer has a new book out called The Host or something or that sort. My only response to this can be summed up as: AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!! >:-(
On the way home, we stopped at Ravina and played on the swings for a while. We also got rained on. It was awesome, swinging and talking, just something I've missed for a while.
My today was good :-) (and tomorrow, I'm making pancakes, assuming I get out of bed before lunch)
--> AND THEN: I watched some good ol' Jeeves and Wooster. OH MY GOD, Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry are so British and proper and intensely, insanely awesome it's a wonder my screen doesn't melt from the amazingness of what I'm watching. P.G. Wodehouse FTW.
