bitchy_merlinJust got back from dinner with friends! Michelle and I went to Chloe's and we all sat around nibbling on paninis and raving about Hank Green/Shakespearean insults/the shinyshinyshiny new X-Men: First Class fandom. (Have I mentioned it's shiny? )
Thoughts on X-Men: The only good parts of that movie were the Epic Love Story bits between McAvoy and Fassbender. Everything else was an exercise in everything from poor screenwriting (hello, ridiculous pacing during the Charles-and-Raven insta!friendship, WTF, that scene was bonkers) to Not Sure If Want (of course all the non-Caucasian characters die - Darwin - or turn evil - Angel). But the LOVE STORY OF SHINY was more than enough for me to plunge into the k-memes. Recs forthcoming! (Sometime.)
Now: bedtime.
