(no subject)

The good news: things have happened since the last post! The bad news: most of them were shitty. Although there was breakdancing (b-girling?) which kind of MADE MY LIFE. Unfortunately, that was only for one hour and didn't really counterbalance the other stuff, but every little bit helps.

I don't think you're ever a hundred percent in the room )

TL;DR: Housemate issues, social apathy, academic pessimism.

"Hi, I see you have some apartments available..."

*toddles in*

My friend and I were just out apartment shopping for next year. Exciting! (Only not really.) Out of the four places we had booked for tonight, we looked at two. One was a pleasant surprise, except for the grungy entrance hall (close to Starbucks, campus, the gym, and one block away from the grocery store ;) ). The other... was in a quieter neighbourhood but too big and kind of sketchy. At least in the student "village" (read: ghetto), the only people you have to deal with are drunk teens. We have two more showings this week, which means that by Monday we'll probably have figured out where we're living next year. A+ (This was probably the most meaningless paragraph in the history of anyone's existence, and for that I apologize.)

I felt like such a grownup doing this. Kinda weird. IDEK.

Things I have not yet done tonight: studied for my midterms, done the french homework, caught up on the mass of econ readings that are going to kick my ass in April.

Dear [livejournal.com profile] moonangelchan : I think [livejournal.com profile] ontd_skating  is my new favourite place ever. And it's totally all your fault. Johnny Weir, Y SO FABULOUS.
