University of Western Ontario
Went to U. of Western Ontario today. OMG I am in love with their campus. It is so beautiful. It's got the old buildings (which are still remarkably intact inside, all this considered), and the ivy - it's even got the Harry Potter style classrooms, and goddd, it's gorgeous! (To give you an idea: it was pissing rain down all day, and the campus was still brilliant).
The residences, though... well Elgin Hall was nice, but then again, it's suite style and you have to be really lucky to get in. Saugeen-Maitland Hall, OTOH, was rather bleak and depressing. The doors we saw weren't decorated like at Guelph or Queen's, and... I don't know, something seemed to be missing. I get the feeling that I really would not enjoy myself there (although it apparently houses 1/3 of all UWO's students).
Also, the whole place seemed kind of lacking in a culturally diverse student body.
To sum up: Gorgeous (seriously, I cannot stress enough how pretty it was) campus + shitload of programs vs. bleak/scary feeling about SMH + sameness of students.
