I JUST FINISHED READING THE HANDMAID'S TALE BY MARGARET ATWOOD. OMFG
I JUST FINISHED READING THE HANDMAID'S TALE BY MARGARET ATWOOD. OMFG

OK, I SO CALLED NICK+OFFRED. SO. CALLED. IT.
AND THE PLOT? YES, OK, THE PLOT! a;dskflasjdf with the Eyes and Mayday and Ofglen and the signals and petty!Luke, unknown!Daughter and NICK and KICKASS!MOIRA. Was awesome. I don't know Margaret Atwood writes so beautifully all slanting light cutting edges and buttersoft hits you don't even feel till you see the bruises. All the flowers and the torrents of red and lukewarm walks on surprises in twos.
And the Particicution OMFG intense.
But Nick. Oh, Nick, you kill me with your shadows and your heart and "Trust me", and she fucking loved you Nick, don't you see? BUt of course you do, elsewise there would have been no Mayday and no perhaps the light.
Whatever, kid, you rock.
Nick+Offred FTW.
And then did anyone else find it insanely brave of Ofglen (the original, not the new one) to hang herself for fear of spilling secrets about Offred and Mayday? I did. She's like the freakin' hero of the book for me, except for Nick, obviously, because Nick>all else. </romantic>
SERIOUSLY GOOD BOOK.
Also, also, Pieixoto made me laugh and OMG I HAVE TWISTED SISTER ON MY IPOD.
I LOL'd
But yeah. Wow. Now I kind of get why Ms. C fangirls Margaret Atwood like anything. There should be like a Margaret Atwood con or something.
